Real Life Heroes: You

Watching good movies is an easy way to find out more about real life heroes. Some, like Harriet (Tubman), you may be familiar with while others such as The Upside which tells the story of someone not well-known. In The Upside, quadriplegic billionaire Phillip Lacasse (Bryan Cranston) finds new purpose in life through his relationship with his ex-con caregiver Dell Scott (Kevin Hart).

Another movie I recommend is The Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith. Will plays Chris Gardner, a bright and talented, but marginally employed salesman.

It’s inspiring to watch regular people survive and overcome hardships. We are also heroes. When faced with uncertain and difficult situations, we can ask ourselves, “What am I being asked to bring forward at this time?”

Remember that heroes overcome a lot every day and they do not always find success. But they do always keep getting up and doing what’s right. Sometimes this is just getting through the day.

Call in royal blue to connect with protection and inner strength to guide and protect you every day.
